Well, the jury is still out on whether the Club's time trial Champs on our Te Horo TT course made Time Trialling Great Again, but it was undoubtedly a great event and a great day for the club. The dark art of time trialling (the race of truth) is not generally one of the more popular events on our cycling calendar, so it was wonderful to have 43 entries for Saturday's event.
This year we invited the Wellington Masters Cycling Club to participate in our event, running a 40km individual TT for their members to compete in, as their TT Club champs event. We have a number of "dual citizens" (riders belonging to both clubs) so this made life easier for them!
The combined event was very successeful, so we look forward to more cooperation and coordination with WMCC in future.
Congratulations to our overall ITT Champion for 2025, Alex Glenn. On Saturday, Alex’s gravel bike was sporting a new set of road wheels and clip-on aero bars! These upgrades worked a treat as he tore around the 18.6 km course in just under 27 minutes at an impressive 42km/hour average speed.
And thanks to all our volunteers - from Gary putting notices in every letterbox on the route, to Mark D race managing, Mark F taking his awesome photos and all the set-up crew, marshals and supporters - thank you.

Next up is our Big Day Out - there are a few places still available in the van.
