Our Club Kit
Current members are eligible to purchase the club's kit. Our European-designed kit is produced for us by Tineli, NZ. We open an online kit store usually once a year, but we also hold a small quantity of items in stock, such as jerseys and gloves. Club History
The Kapiti Cycling Club aims to be the centre of the cycling community on the Kapiti Coast. We are the re-formation of a much older club with a proud history which was formed in 1967 and boasted many national champions on the road and track, including the famous John Dean, who in one year held four national titles, as well as representing New Zealand at the Mexico Olympics.
The club was restarted in its present form in 2006 and while the original club was strictly a road racing club the resurgence in cycling popularity has resulted in the majority of our members being recreational cyclists. We cater to all levels of road cyclist – from the fun ride category, which ranges from weekly fitness and coffee rides, to participation in the Round Taupo Cycle Challenge, to those that want to compete at club, national and international race level.
