Kapiti Women's Triathlon Bike Skills Session

The Kapiti Cycling Club aims to be the center of the cycling community on the Kapiti Coast.  We are dedicated to providing safe cycling opportunities to all age groups and skill levels

We are the re-formation of a much older club with a proud history which was formed in 1967 and boasted many national champions on the road and track, including the famous John Dean, who in one year held four national titles, as well as representing New Zealand at the Mexico Olympics.

The club was restarted in its present form in 2006 and while the original club was strictly a road racing club the resurgence in cycling popularity has resulted in the majority of our members being recreational cyclists. We cater to all levels of road cyclist – from the fun ride category which ranges from weekly fitness and coffee ride, to participation in the Round Taupo Cycle Challenge, to those that want to compete at club, national and international race level.
