This Saturday we are racing on our Short'n Spicy course, so there are some extra things to note, including two start times and two prizegivings.   This course offers multiple laps of a 6.2km circuit, which also has a different start/finish to normal. 

Course map: Old Hautere Road/Otaki Gorge Circuit 

Grades will ride the following laps:

A and B grades - 7 laps (approx 44km) - start time 2pm

C, Femmes C & D - 5 laps (approx 31.5km) - start time 1pm

E grade - 4 laps (approx 25.2km) - start time 1.09pm

After registering at the Hall as usual, head to Old Hautere Rd (new extension road off Otaki Gorge Rd), for the start.  The course is around Old Hautere Rd and Otaki Gorge Rd with no barrel turns, but plenty of false flats, including the finish!

The Start and Finish is on Hautere Cross Rd extension, approx 7km from the hall.  PLEASE DO NOT PARK THERE.  There is very limited parking available at the corner of Otaki Gorge Rd and Old Hautere Rd, we need to reserve this for marshals, the course medic, and officials.  Please park as normal and ride around - allow 15 mins to ride around the streets from School Rd.  Please do NOT park on the shared cycle path.

Parking will be available opposite the Hall on School Rd as usual, and slightly down the road at the Te Horo packing sheds and down side streets.  This will be marked: "KCC Parking".  You can also park on the corner of School Rd and Gear Rd. 

Please do not park on any grass berms because they are likely to be soft and your car tyres will damage them (we respect our neighbours!).

Prizegivings - due to the split start time there will be two prizegivings this week.  Both will be held at the Hall, shortly after the last grade finishes.  Once you have handed back your timing chip and number, please head back to the Hall for a cuppa and snack, and prizegiving.  There will also be two $100 spot prize draws this week!
