Searletech Summer Series Reaches Halfway Mark

 Event Results

After four weeks of uninterrupted racing, the Searletech Summer Series reached its halfway point on Tuesday evening at the Southwards Course.

We’ve enjoyed great summer weather on the Kapiti Coast over the past month that will hopefully carry through February to allow the full 8 race program to be completed.

With all the Southwards races now concluded, the competition shifts to the Camelot Course for the next two weeks, followed by two weeks at Nga Manu Reserve Road to round out the series.

Series Standings

At the halfway mark, the grade leaders are:

  • A Grade: Alex Glenn
  • B Grade: Dwight Garton (undefeated, 40 points)
  • C Grade: Shane Durrant
  • D Grade: Brent Thomas
  • E Grade: Jonathan Newnham

A special mention goes to Dwight Garton, who has dominated B Grade with four consecutive wins, maintaining a perfect score of 40 points. His hard training leading up to this year’s series is clearly paying off. However, with four races remaining, and two new courses favoring a different type of rider, the series is far from decided!
