Put this ride on your summer riding programme list, as it's a gem.  That is, a well-run event by a Club with heart (a bit like us!), challenging terrain, and beautiful scenery.  Seriously, the image doesn't do it justice.  Waipukurau is in driving distance if you want a Big Day Out, but you could also make a weekend of it.

With olde school feeling  - like the banana on check-in, high-school start, pick of the table prizegiving with loads of prizes donated by the community, good marshalling, cheering locals in the towns.  And did we mention the super quiet country roads?  

With a long course (100km), medium course (55km) and now a gravel race (70km) there are options for everyone.  So, put this on the calendar.  Support a fellow cycling club, and let's give those blue jerseys an outing in the sun!
