The Hope Gibbons Time Trial is an iconic event for inter-club cycling in the Wellington region; teams of 4 riders have been challenging for the prestigous and impressive silver trophy since 1934.  Over 300 names are engraved on it  more will be added after the 2024 edition is decided on Sunday May 5th.

Traditional TTT rules apply - 40km, where the time stops on the back wheel of the 3rd rider (you can drop 1 rider).  There is also a Rose Ball for womens teams.  Kapiti members have long competed (1 year we entered 7 teams) and can vouch that its a great event (type 2 fun!).  The course is roughly a square (no barrel turns) on a quiet rural block just out of Featherston.  You don't need a TT bike to have a lot of fun (type 2 fun, that is), just a Club membership and 3 other riders willing to pin their ears back for 40km.
