Whether you're a weekend warrior, racer or prefer a gentle spin, you want to feel safe and comfortable on your bike. Knowing what to look out for, what you can do to keep it humming, and when to call in the experts just makes sense - protecting you and your investment. The experienced will gain some tips and tricks, the not-so-experience will gain some basic DIY skills.
Master bike mechanic Mike Searle (Searletech) will run a practical demo including:
- the quick and easy way to change a tyre (tube and tubeless) - bring your own front wheel and tyre levers along if you'd like to practise!
- how to improve your comfort on the bike (Basic Bike Fit Principles)
- tips to clean and lube your chain, plus weekly things to check
- checking and adjusting your brakes (rim and disc)
- when to replace your chain, cassette and what the benefits are
