Howdy folks

It's taken a while for us to get this information up as it's been a bit more complicated getting a traffic management approval as we have to go to both the Kapiti Coast District Council and NZTA.  But we got the approval through on Friday.

This year sees a radical departure from the normal Winter Series which are normally graded road races, to a couple of Time Trials.  But it's been a crazy old year and with the uncertainty swirling when we were trying to crystal ball gaze plan for these events, we figured a TT represents a much easier intro back into events for many.

We're keeping things very simple with a couple of Individual TT.  Not a series as such - just two individual events.  If you tell us your age we will arrange the results by age group

It will be manually timed so no need for timing chips.

  • If you pay online:
    • $5 for Kapiti members.
    • $10 for non-Kapiti members.
  • If you pay on the day
    • $15 for Kapiti members.
    • $20 for non-Kapiti members.

You do not need to be a member to enter the series

Enter and pay online

Online Entries will close at 7pm sharp on the Friday night before each event. You can enter and pay on the day but there will be a late fee of an additional $10.

YOU MUST ENTER AND PAY ONLINE TO AVOID THE LATE FEE. Any payments on the day will incur the $10 late fee

Registration involves picking up your event number and us checking you've paid your event fee.

The dates are:

  1. 25th July (Winter Series Event 1)
  2. 1st August (Winter Series Event 2)

  • The first rider will be away at 1pm, with people leaving at 1 min intervals.  Registration details are below.

Where :

  • On a brand new circuit off Otaki Gorge Road in Te Horo.  This works as part of the Expressway building has made a loop where none existed before.
  • If you are coming from South (or north for that matter) head up State Highway One to Otaki Gorge Road and the course is not too far over the other side of the bridge over the railway line and expressway.

  • All riders 4 laps of the circuit.  One lap is 6.32km giving us a four-lap distance of 25.28km

  • As part of the traffic management approval - parking is not permitted on Old Hautere Road so if you are bringing your car - please park around the corner on Otaki Gorge road.

  • We also are not allowed to have the trailer at the start/finish - so registration will be on the corner of Otaki Gorge Road and the new section of Old Hautere Road.
  • Glynis Te Maipi-Kemp is managing the race and assisted by Greg Cundy with timing - they will have to move down to the start/finish on Old Hautere Road at 11:50 so please be there with plenty of time to register.
  • Registration will open from 12noon

  • The beauty of this course is that there are only 2 intersections so apart from the Race Manager and timekeeper and course setup - we only need 2 marshals.   If you are able to assist please contact Glynis on This email address is being protected from spambots.
