It's that time of year again folks.

A four-event series in gorgeous surroundings in crisp clear conditions for just $20 or $40!!  It's incredibly good value at just $5 per event for Kapiti Members or $10 per event for non-members.

The series is graded by ability - so you will be competing against the people you start with only.

Individual Points for the Series

  • Everyone who starts each individual event will be given a point.  There will be bonus points awarded for 1st - 10th in each grade.   Points carry over from event to event.
  • Top 10 Bonus Points: 1st - 15pts, 2nd - 13 pts, 3rd - 11pts, 4th - 9pts, 5th - 7pts, 6th - 6pts, 7th - 5pts, 8th - 4pts, 9th - 3pts, 10th - 2pts.
  • Everyone after 10th will receive 1 point for starting the event.

Team points for the series

Teams within grades to get some team riding going on within each grade.

  • Teams of four riders.
  • Riders MUST be in the same grade.
  • The top 3 from your team will contribute points each week. (This allows for not everyone being able to make it each week)
  • The points are the same as the individual points and are banked in your team's tally each week.
  • As an example: you may have a rider take part one week and score 7 points. They contribute to your team tally for that week - even if they don't come to any other event.

Riders from Kapiti can receive marshaling points as well (once) - with marshaling points equivalent to coming 5th in your grade.

You don't have to be at each event, but clearly the more you enter the better chance you have of winning.  If you aren't sure which grade you should go in seek out the advice of our race manager who should be able to assist you.

Please bring your timing tags to registration if you have them so we can get you registered in the correct grade.  If you don't have a tag they can be purchased on the day for a once-only fee of $15 (they are yours to keep and will work at any timed events in the region).  There will be limited loan tags available for those guests who are new to club events and just want to give racing a try (loan tags available for hire at $10 per race for those guests).

  • If you pay online:
    • $5 for Kapiti members.
    • $10 for non-Kapiti members.
  • If you pay on the day
    • $15 for Kapiti members.
    • $20 for non-Kapiti members.

You do not need to be a member to enter the series

Enter and pay online

Online Entries will close at 7pm sharp on the Friday night before each event. You can enter and pay on the day but there will be a late fee of an additional $10.

YOU MUST ENTER AND PAY ONLINE TO AVOID THE LATE FEE. Any payments on the day will incur the $10 late fee

Registration involves picking up your event number and us checking you've paid your event fee and confirming your grade.

It would greatly assist if people could get to the start with plenty of time as we will need people to check their tags in. Bring them to registration, then run your tag over the reader to confirm you are registered in the correct group and you’re good to go.  At the first event a couple of years ago we had 100 starters and were caught out getting everyone registered, so please get there with plenty of time to spare.
