A damp but warm day did not discourage another good turnout of 74 competitors. The last week of racing is shaping up to be an exciting finish a number of riders contesting point's leadership. No surprises who picked up the A grade points.... Well-done Dan Waluszewski. Outstanding effort. Dan goes into the final race unbeaten so will comfortably take the A grade title no matter what the outcome is on Saturday. B grade was well taken by Steve Chapman. Unlike Dan, Steve needs to finish in the top 10 to win B grade...with this in mind I am sure you will feel no pressure from your fellow B grade riders Steve! C grade was won by Stuart Kuus. Doug Barrett, Paul Larkin and Nigel Monahan all have a shot of winning the C grade title. Matt Oliver after a big effort out front on the final lap won D grade for the second week in a row. Matt Oliver and Gabriella Peach will both go into the final race with victory on their minds... Adrian Lumsden edged in to win E grade and is clear on points to win E grade...well-done Adrian. This Saturday is the final race. Please stay on after the race for prize giving and afternoon tea. Members please being a plate! Click here for the race results. And here for the series points.

Comment by matto on 2010-07-20 11:46:57 It was a hard fought race for me in D. I did not like racing in the rain at all, so am hoping for it to be a little drier (actually a lot drier) this coming weekend. I froze out there. | Comment by julianc on 2010-07-21 16:28:44 I would just like to thank all of the E Grade for rotating so well and sharing the workload - it made it a lot more fun!! Cheers, Julian and Anne-Marie (on the tandem) | |
