Howdy all, The weather has really not been playing the game lately - but it's been great to see that there have been people out riding together every weekend. And we've been getting good rides in. So if you're not sure - we ride rain or shine - so rug up and come out. Admittedly we haven't been sticking exactly to the plan because of the weather - but we've been getting significant rides in. So as part of the plan we mentioned a few weeks back - this weekend - being the first Sunday of the month - the 9am group will be heading round the Akas. We'll stick to the standard route being the first time we've done it for a while - and next month we'll tack a bit more on it. Here's the plan for the next wee while of 9am Sunday rides. We trying to acheive good paced steady state riding on Sundays. If you are a 905 rider - don't worry - Peter Foster will be publishing the plan for the 905's weekly. You can click on the maps below to see the full details... 4th July - Akas loop. Standard loop as per the Kapiti Cycle Challenge route below - except - obviously - starting and finishing at the back of Coastlands... 11th July. North to Levin Ihakara hall at the back of Levin and return... 18th July. Plimmerton - Haywards - Moonshine and return over Paekak Hill... 25th July. North to Waikawa Beach. 1st August - Akas plus Blue Mountains 8th August Makara Beach and return. That should keep us busy for a while... Sound like a plan?? Cheers Adrian.

my understanding is no contract has been awarded as of 12th July and is unlikely to be awarded within three months. no dates will be set before the contract is awarded. Lets hope it's done before the next kapiti cycle challenge :)

are you sure the akatarawa road is open because they were going to close it to replacethe bridges over the other side and the road was going to be fully closed for 5 weeks |
