Well another great night of racing in perfect conditions. 

Was a well taken win by the Limit group this week, with Dave Chandler managing to jump away on his own for a great victory.  With Fellow limit riders Ernst and Diana in hot pursuit.  If you have a look at the average speeds - you'll see that the Limit group is getting around at a great clip - and has seen some fantastic racing on the Peka Peka circuit.

Next in we had the vast majority of the field in a bunch sprint. A great ride from Miles saw him taking line honors from another fantastic finish from Vaughn Pretorius with Dave Downer taking 3rd and restoring some pride for the over 40 brigade.  Miles and Finlay taking out the fastest times.

The rest of us dribbled in wondering where we went wrong - but vowing to come back to give it another crack next week.

Thanks as always to the helpers on the night - I've listed who I could remember - apologies to those I've missed.  You're always appreciated.

I wish I didn't have to - but I'll finish with a bit of a grumble.  Please, please, please - can people register in good time.  A lot of work is put into this event - and we need everyone's help to make it run smoothly.  Regularly turning up late without a race number, not bothering to register (ie puposely riding without registering) - and in some cases of non club members, not paying - makes life difficult for the people who are managing the race, makes the results calculations harder - and is simply not good enough.  It's not fair for the race manager to be adding people to the list on the start line.  I know it's not always possible to get there on time - and we always try to accomodate people where we can - but there seems to be some regular offenders in this area who think the rules don't apply to them - and it was particulary bad tonight.  Enough said!
