Howdy all Another week rolls around... Dave Downer is leading the 905's this week. Dave's the Club Captain - so this is a really good chance for the 905's to get to know him. He's going to be sticking to the tried and true route that I've mapped out on the following link... http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/new-zealand/paraparaumu/441124591503370171 The ride comes in at around 52km. If you can't be bothered with the link - the route is down to Raumati via Raumati Road. Then following the beach all the way to North Beach before heading down Ratanui Road to Otaihanga. Cross the bridge and then make our way up to Peka Peka and up to SH1 where we'll turn around and head back to Waikanae Beach. There will probably be a stop at the Bowling Club/Tennis Club for a quick breather - and this makes a good spot for those who want a slightly shorter ride to head back to home. The rest will then continue up to Waikanae Township via the Tour of Waikanae circuit and once back down to Weggery drive - cross back over the bridge and head back to Coastlands. Don't forget that there is racing on on Saturday in Te Horo and everybody is welcome to come and try their hand. It's a graded race - so everyone will be riding with people of similar ability. It's great fun and something different - I'd encourage you all to give it a go. Then you can say that the ride on Sunday is a 'recovery ride'! As always the riding pace will be about 25-28km/hr. Have a great weekend everyone... Adrian.
