A very successful Kapiti Cycle Challenge was taken up by 444 riders in cold, wet, windy conditions, but I don't know of anyone who had any complaints.
Well done to the organisers: Bob Pratt, Greg Cundy, and Peter Ellis. This undertaking was at their liability and cost, and required a huge level of personal commitment and risk, so thank you to everyone who helped them along the way. Despite many articles claiming that this was a Kapiti Cycling Club event; it wasn't. With the association of the people involved [with the KCC], and the close naming convention, the club was continually referred.
On behalf of Bob, Greg, and Peter, thank you to those of you who either marshaled, helped on the registration desks, set up, put away, undertook website duties (Adrian), and finally to all of you who took part in the event.
Fortunatley the event looks to have been a success, and will be run again. Great news.
The full results are up here Kapiticyclechallenge , but I've extracted a number of people who either belong to the club, or are associated with it. I apologise if I've missed anyone Here
