Who is he ?...

Since i have been laid up  i have managed to give serious thought to who is  Deverek Smittle.

So i tried to use logic in my thoughts.  Not sure if this was the correct thing to apply because this fella Deverek is a slippery customer.

Now , at about the time that Deverek went quiet-was it because he went over-seas, or was it because he moved away from the district or was it because he was injured , or just wasnt around the club scene for a while.

So i selected some people who i thought might fit the bill. 

Who went overseas.   Adrian McKenzie.   Prime contender.

Who moved away from the district.    Derek Ward.      Certainly been quiet since   Der-Dev moved out of town.  Prime contender.

Who was injured.    Ross Leger.   Was last seen walking his dog down Kapiti Rd wearing his Stubby shorts and muscle tee -shirt in deep thought. Perhaps he was contemplating his next Deverek story. Definately a prime contender.

Who hasnt been around the club scene for a while.  Dave Downer. A long shot but not out of the question.   Also  could be Mark Donald.. that is not  a silly idea.

But then who is to say it is not a lady. ?

Lady DI...  maybe...

But maybe logic doesnt apply in this instance so we may have to wait,   perhaps deverek will not be exposed and we can continue to be entertained with his wit, lack of logic, exploration into the lives of others, and so i am not really not any the wiser as to who he is.

He certainly is not me.
