OK, This time I think I have nailed it. It's been a challenge, but I think it is worth it to have absolute accurate results. The good news is that the changes were fairly similar between the groups, so although this has had a big impact on the lap 1 time, and the overall time, it did not in the end have any impact on the placings or points for the finish order or fastest times. Finish times Handicap Finish Report Lap Times Report Feel free to let me know if you still think there's anything incorrect. I'm pretty confident this time though. Just as a subnote - The issues experienced are only as a result of the changed groups and not to do with the mat-less finish. The tag data captured on the line without mats worked perfectly.

Comment by matto on 2012-01-31 20:46:36 What I can say (I think for certain) is that the first 10 finishers in order were: Des Batten John Pratt Darryl Flaws Candice Pretorius (1st Female) Jo Clarkson Simon Cullen Bruce Jenkins Dave Chandler Stephen Chubb Dale Lopez These should be treated as preliminary results only, however I do not expect this order to change at this stage. I don't have the fastest times yet due to the changes to the starting groups. I am also processing some photo's which I hope to get up via facebook tomorrow. ~Matt | Comment by GUEST on 2012-01-31 21:56:43 Hi Matt, I was 6th tonight in those first 10 finishers. I was using a borrowed timing chip which Diana lent me as i had forgotten mine. Cheers, Howard. | Comment by GUEST on 2012-01-31 22:00:35 I've got most of the tags sorted. If anyone can confirm the following that would be great: 1) Neil Harwood was shown as riding, however the tag assigned has no reads. Did Neil borrow a tag, or ride without one? 2) Dave Downer was shown as riding, however the tag assigned has no reads. Did Dave borrow a tag, or ride without one? 3) David Carmody and Adrian Hardy were visitors. Did they borrow tags or ride without one? If these remain a mystery tomorrow I will assume the 'no tags' and will run the final results. Looks like the Mat-less finish line was a success, but I got squillions of 'extra' (also ignored) reads from around the start and finish (It was not avoidable). Next week the finish line will be behind the start line, so won't be such a problem. Final results will be out tomorrow night. I'm stuffed. ~Matt | Comment by GUEST on 2012-02-01 09:42:20 Dave Downer, David Carmody, Adrian Hardy had no tags. Not sure about Neil. I notice that Jayne's name was ticked on the registration paper maybe she had her tag on? Emily and Bruce Allgood bought tags which they still owe money for...Ross, Howard and John Barber borrowed tags. I think there were one or two others that borrowed tags but i cant remember who...Ross, Howard and John returned the tags back. On the registration papers I made a note beside there names who borrowed tags and wrote the tag number down to...I hope this helps a little bit Matt... Dianna | Comment by GUEST on 2012-02-01 09:48:04 p.s Matt let me know if you not sure which break people went in cuz there were some changes.. | Comment by GUEST on 2012-02-01 11:20:13 Thanks Dianna. I got all the borrowed & new tags, Jayne sorted. I've got all the breaks sorted too. Thanks to your info above this leaves me only with sorting Neil out. I suspect he did not have a tag on. ~Matt | Comment by GUEST on 2012-02-01 12:55:01 All righty then.....in a p[roductive lunchtime and with the club laptop at work I have completed all the bits and pieces and now have a full set of results, hopefully showing everyone being in the right club (or visitor) and with the right gender (for a change). You can expect the result reports to be uploaded at about 6.00pm tonight. (I have no means of doing this at work). ~Matt | Comment by GUEST on 2012-02-01 17:46:01 Thanks Matt Candice | Comment by GUEST on 2012-02-01 18:04:43 Oooohhhh, there was a change to the top 10, with Howard creeping in further down the list, and there's a 4th equal for me to deal with. Candice and Joe crossed the line in the same thousandth of a second!!!! | Comment by GUEST on 2012-02-01 18:24:13 hmm.. thought I was 3rd! All good, I know who I need to beat next week ;) Candice | Comment by GUEST on 2012-02-01 18:41:45 hate to be picky but the first lap seems a little long.. sam | Comment by GUEST on 2012-02-01 19:04:22 First lap times are definitely wrong. Sorry. Stephen | Comment by matto on 2012-02-01 19:40:06 the penny just dropped......The groups got all screwed up on me with the removal of Scratch and the creation of a break 6 (as well as limit). ALL Lap 1 times will be out. SHIT bugger bugger bugger....this is going to be a challenge and a half..... This shouldn't impact the finish order of the top10, but could impact the fastest times. I'm going to have to do a bunch of work to try to resolve this one. Gahhhhh...... oh the life of a timing guy... | Comment by GUEST on 2012-02-01 19:40:53 Neil and Jayne were on tandem bike..that will explain why Neil didnt have tag...they were using Jayne's tag..:) Dianna | Comment by matto on 2012-02-01 20:04:32 That sorts out Neil. :-) this change to have no scratch and introduce a break 6 has really messed with the setup of the timing gear. It's possible it may have removed the ability for me to get results. Still working through it. | |
