Hi everyone,

Well we hit the hills last Sunday – haven’t been up the Akas for a while so it was a bit of a challenge for  some of us.  Points go to people who can bike up them and still hold a conversation I know I’m not one of them!  Some went on to Staglands while others returned after reaching the top, either way we all had a good work out.  This is all part of building up to doing the block soon so hills are part of the deal.

Our ride on the 29^th takes us over Paekakariki Hill to Greys Road, some may want to return from here at a 54km ride, but the rest will continue along Greys Road, through Plimmerton to the end of Airlie Road then return alongside the highway on the bike track to Greys Road and return over the Paekak Hill.  We are adding on a tour of Paekakariki which will bring the ride up to 79km.

All this is subject to weather though…
