Hi All,

A great night of hard racing was had tonight resulting in a mass bunch sprint for the minor places, because, although scratch pulled out some impressive times they failed to catch limit who had finished and were back and having a cuppa while watching the rest of you fight it out. Yes, full marks for a top race by Bernie, Stephen and John who worked together the whole way through their 10 laps keeping the pace high and coming out with the win! Well done guys. I suspect the handicapper may be moving some riders from limit to break 4 for next week!

As for scratch, well, what can we say....They set off with such ferocity that Aaron broke his chain in the first 20 meters ending his night and leaving the tandem Finlay and Miles to battle it out for the fastest times. Every time they came past the line the tandem was heading the pack and they were putting in some impressive times, with every lap being sub 5 minutes, leading to all 3 bikes recording the same time of 47:42. The tandem managed to take out the final sprint for the line but I can tell you there was less than a wheel between the 3 of them.

I'd really love to be able to tell a story for all the other bunches in between but it's a hard enough job just trying to track whose done how many laps, let alone work out what's actually happening in the bunches. From the sidelines it looked like rotation was working well and good to see tiring faces out there all putting in a great effort.  

On the timing side things seemed to have gone much better again, although either 5 or 6 riders had no tags, or somehow the system really did not like you as there were no tag readings recorded for you. These were Neil H, Dave C, Graeme D, Todd F and Sam C. If this is correct then that's fine, if you did have a tag on then please drop me a note and I'll see what I can do for next week (replacement tags?)
