Howdy folks

The 2018 Age Group Road Nationals are being held in the Wairarapa this year.  What a great opportunity to not only race relatively locally but also to get in a few training rides on the courses before the event.

If you don't know - the Age Group road nationals are where riders represent their clubs and regions competing against others in their age category (there are time trials and road races).  We've had many a success in the past and I know there is a core of people who are training hard towards this.

This year I'm very happy to announce that Eddie Bright will be managing the Kapiti Team at the nationals.

We are looking at hiring a house in Carterton - that we may get a grant for (no guarantee of success) to cover part of this cost (we've been successful in securing these grants in the past - but never get the full amount).  Eddie also has plans in place for 2 training sessions over on the course prior to the nationals.

There is a meeting for interested people at 79 Park Avenue on Thursday the 25th of January at 7:30pm - where Eddie will outline his plans and we can discuss how the club can best help any riders wanting to go.  We will also discuss what obligations riders have to the club and other riders in the team.

Come along if you are interested in hearing the details - even if you aren't sure if you are going to compete.
